I have always loved tech

how it all started

My interest in software development ignited the moment I first encountered Python code in my second year at university. It was a simple program that solved quadratic equations. You'd enter three numbers (a, b, and c) and it would give you the roots of the equation. As an engineering student who lived and breathed formulas, I immediately asked my friend: "You mean I can write the same functions as the developers who built this calculator?" The answer was yes, and I was hooked.

as a developer

I started exploring Python GUIs like Tkinter and PySimpleGUI to give my engineering problem-solving codes interactive interfaces. However, I soon discovered that these Python GUIs fell short when it came to creating truly clean and interactive user experiences. That's when I discovered HTML and CSS—and as someone with a graphic design background, I fell in love with the infinite artistic possibilities of web development and modern frontend frameworks.

I have since gone on to learn, improve and build several quality web and mobile applications with amazing teams of developers and designers using tools like React, React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap CSS, Sass/SCSS, Webpack, Vite etc.

I have also mastered Git for version control—a useful skill for organizing my projects and effectively collaborating with fellow developers. I use Git every day to manage code changes, work on various features simultaneous with other developers and maintain a nice clean project history.

as a person

I'm resourceful and inquisitive—that's how I'd describe myself. The thirst to solve problems completely, combined with creativity, is how I navigate through obstacles. I can't stress this enough: I'm curious by nature and love learning, which has helped me build a diverse range of skills and interests that feed into my development career in unexpected ways.

Fun fact about me: I have a genuine fascination with accents, dialects, and languages in general—though I only speak three fluently (for now at least).
